At the first sign of spring we run to the garden to check on the rhubarb patch! It’s growing like crazy and then we wait for the strawberries…they are blossoming and June is right around the corner. Our favorite Shortcake with Strawberry Rhubarb sauce is always a hit for a summer party! AND who doesn’t love that aroma of the rhubarb and strawberries simmering on the stove?? If you can’t wait for fresh strawberries, hit up a local farmers market or the grocery store, or you can just make a rhubarb sauce!
Sturdiwheat Shortcake Mix is easy and quick. Mix as directed with butter, bake and wah- lah!
Serve warm with that freshly cooked sauce and of course some whipped cream.
