“Spice it up” Egg Bake

 

1 – Sturdiwheat Corn Bread Mix

1 lb. -Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage

1 – Small Onion Diced

½ Cup Chopped Red Pepper

½ Cup Chopped Green Pepper

6 eggs

3 Cups Milk

 

Mix cornbread and bake as directed. Cool and cut half the pan into 1-inch cube size pieces

and set aside. ( use only half of the cornbread save the rest for another meal with chili!)

Saute’ sausage, onion and peppers until sausage is done.

In greased 9 x 13 pan spread layer of sausage mixture and then top with 1 layer of cubed corn bread. In large bowl combine eggs and milk. Beat with a whisk. Pour over cornbread, cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. In the morning preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 40 minutes uncovered. Serve warm!
