Strawberry Rhubarb Buckwheat Galette for the win!!
If you love Buckwheat you are going to LOVE this Galette Crust Mix!
Like our Buckwheat Pancake Mix this is the perfect mix for the best Buckwheat flavor! We use premium grains and GMO FREE ingredients.
We filled it with a Strawberry Rhubarb mix, and blueberries are tasty too! We keep saying this is easier than pie and oh soooo good.
1/2 Package of Sturdiwheat Buckwheat Galette mix ( whole package makes 2 crusts)
1 – Stick Cold Butter (1/2 Cup)
1/3 Cup Cold Water
Mix as directed and refrigerate 4 hrs. or overnight. Remove from refrigerator and let sit on counter for 1/2 hour while making filling.
4 cups Fresh chopped Rhubarb and Strawberries (other suggestions: Blueberries, Peaches, Raspberries Plums or Apples)
6 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Tsp. Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp. Corn Starch
On a floured surface roll dough into a 12″-14″ circle. Place on a parchment paper lined jelly roll pan.
Place filling mixture in the center of the circle and spread out to within 2″ of edge. Fold plain edge up and over the filling creating a border around the filling. Brush edges with water or egg wash and sprinkle with a little extra sugar.
Bake at 400 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until crust is turning brown and filling is bubbly.
Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream!
