How to Enter
- Submit your fishing photo to Instagram by tagging @sturdiwheat and using the hashtag #Fishing4Sturdiwheat
- Submission period begins January 5, 2026 and ends January 19, 2026 at midnight central time. Â Make sure your Instagram account is public so we can see your photo.
Photo Rules
- Â The theme for this contest is all things fishing–like an impressive catch as pictured above or a fishing in action scene pictured below. Â Photos can be in any season, ice fishing is in full swing here in MN.
- Keep it clean! All ages can submit photos and will be watching the contest. All content must be appropriate for posting online that may be viewed by anyone so do not submit inappropriate or obscene photos containing any offensive content or provocative elements–this will result in disqualification of the photo. Â Sturdiwheat has sole discretion to determine what constitutes inappropriate content.Â
- By entering this contest entrants grant Sturdiwheat the right to publicly display your photograph and to use it online and in print publications, for example announcing the winners of this contest across our media channels and promoting the brand and future contests in print and online in the foreseen future.
- If your photograph includes recognizable people then all people in the photo must consent to the submission and the rules of the contest. In the case of minors being in the photo, the consent of the parent or guardian must be obtained by the entrant before posting.
Prizes
- Fan Favorite Winner: The most likes* on Instagram will declare your photo the Fan Favorite and you will win a St. Croix Fishing Rod Combo (your choice rod and reel up to $250 value as seen here https://stcroixrods.com/collections/combo-rods) and a $100 Sturdiwheat Gift Card. Â *Likes will be tallied to determine the winner on January 22, 2026 at 12:00 noon Central Standard Time.
- Sturdiwheat’s Choice Winners: Â Sturdiwheat judges (employees) will vote for their favorite 5 photos and these winners will each receive a new spinning reel up to $85 value and a $50 Sturdiwheat Gift Card.
Winners will be announced January 23, 2026 on Instagram/Facebook and Sturdiwheat’s website and email list.
