Almond Pecan Butter Sauce

Ingredients
1 1/4
cups
butter
1/2
cup
sugar
2
cups
heavy whipping cream
1 1/4
teaspoons
vanilla extract
3
ounces
pecan pieces
3
ounces
sliced almonds
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of butter and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the butter is melted.
Add the whipping cream and vanilla extract. Continue to cook over medium heat until the mixture has reduced by half.
Cut the remining butter into small cubes. Using a whisk, slowly add the cubed butter to the saucepan.
Remove the saucepan from the heat when the butter is melted and the sauce has thickened.
Add the pecans and almonds and let sit for 2 minutes to allow the nut oils to release. Stir well before serving.
