Coffeecake or Sweet Rolls

1 bag of either Golden Grain White or Whole Wheat Bread Mix makes 2 Coffeecakes or 12 large rolls

 

  1. Make bread in machine on dough cycle, or by hand (let rise an hour).
  2. Roll out whole dough into a rectangle for rolls, or 2 -12 x 6 rectangles for coffeecake.
  3. Spread filling on rectangles(s): Poppyseed, Almond Paste, Prune; or Cinnamon Topping (1/2 cup Butter, 1 cup Sugar, 4 TSP. Cinnamon)
  4. Roll dough up lengthwise, cut evenly into 12 pieces or connect both ends to make rings.
  5. Place Rolls or Coffeecakes on greased sheets.
  6. Let rise 30-40 minutes.
  7. Brush with egg wash (1 egg, 2 TBSP. water)
  8. Bake at 350° 40-45 minutes for Coffeecake, or 20-25 minutes for Rolls.
