Biscuits

  • 2 cups Sturdiwheat Original Pancake Mix
  • 1⁄4 cup shortening
  • 3⁄4 cup buttermilk or 2% milk

Cut shortening into pancake mix. Add buttermilk or 2% milk and mix just until moistened.
Knead gently on floured board for about 20-30 sec. Pat or roll to 1⁄2" thickness. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Bake on cookie sheet at 450° for 10-12 min.

Makes 12 - 2" biscuits.
