Dad may have lost the contest but he got bonus points for cuteness!  Has anyone ever caught a sauger this small? For those of you that have never heard of a sauger, its very similar to a walleye.  Needless to say all we heard all night was “My fish was so much bigger than Dad’s”.  Hoping to have a Sturdiwheat fish fry this weekend if we can catch more of the big ones and less of the cute ones!

We caught this walleye on Lake Pepin last weekend and fried it up with a bag of the Sturdiwheat Lemon fish coating.  Unbeatable flavor,  we will never use shore lunch again!
